World Health Day is April 7, 2015: It is celebrated to remember the establishment of the World health Organization as well as draw the attention of people towards the major health issues in the world. The body needs water to function. Dehydration occurs when the amount of water leaving the body is greater than the amount being taken in. If you don't replace lost fluids, you will get dehydrated.
Dehydration is a major health concern: keeping your body hydrated will help you live a longer healthier life.To keep your body well hydrated (even when you sweat a lot ) does not mean gulping down gallons of water in one go. That might only dilute your blood that has a fine mineral balance, which is risky. The key is wisely drinking fluids that contain some minerals lost in sweat.
Anyone may become dehydrated, but young children, older adults and people with chronic illnesses are most at risk. While you can usually reverse mild to moderate dehydration by drinking more fluids, Severe dehydration needs immediate medical treatment. It can lead to complications. You can even die from severe dehydration because the blood stops circulating.
Two early signs of dehydration are thirst and dark coloured urine.
If you notice signs of dehydration and treat it quickly, you should recover completely.
You should also be aware that;
The best cure for dehydration is prevention.
World Health Day celebration focuses on increasing the life expectancy by adding good health to the lives of people and promoting healthier living habits. Get involved become aware and share.
